Nigeria U20 side spanked Lugbe United 12-0 in a friendly game played in Abuja on Thursday morning.
Hat-tricks from Taiwo Awoniyi and Alhassan Ibrahim inspired a massive victory for the Garba Manu team as they intensify preparations for the 2015 African Youth Championship qualifiers where they face either Kenya or Tanzania in May.

Mathew converted a penalty in the 26th minute to put Manu Garba ahead after Awoniyi was forcefully brought down in the penalty area of Lugbe United before providing another assist for Bernard Bulbwa.
The goal feast continued in the 14th minutes on resumption of the second half as Alhassan scored another goal for the Nigeria U20 side before completing his treble few minutes later.
Abubakar Lawal, Sulaiman Abdullahi , Mustapha Abdulahi also had their names on the scorers’ sheet in the one sided encounter.
The Flying Eagles are expected to depart the country for Morocco on Sunday where they will be facing the Junior Atlas Lions in a two-legged friendly match billed for Cascablanca on April 9 and 11.
